A beautiful first-issue vintage Bubblecut Barbie, carefully restored and styled at Ginger’s Doll Cottage.
Her face paint remains largely original, with only her lips and blush professionally refreshed. Other work done to her is professional cleaning, and she had three missing hair plugs that have been redone with exact matching vintage donor hair from another bubblecut. She displays absolutely beautifully.
She is dressed in a custom-made sheath ensemble inspired by Barbie’s vintage Pak Sheath / Sheath Sensation fashions. The dress is tagged with Gingers Doll Cottage. The ivory clutch was handmade using vintage vinyl salvaged from an original Barbie case, adding a wonderful period-authentic touch.
Her accessories include an ivory pearl necklace and matching bracelet that are handmade with Japanese glass pearls, along with ivory gloves and belt, ivory open toe shoes, and headband style hat.
Condition: Overall excellent display condition. The only noted flaw is a small amount of light scratching on her back.
This is a lovely example of an early “Barbie only body” Bubblecut Barbie, presented in a one-of-a-kind cottage-styled ensemble that complements her beautifully.
