Vintage #3 Brunette Ponytail Barbie – Restored OOAK – Autumn at the Cottage

A beautiful vintage #3 Brunette Ponytail Barbie, restored and styled as part of the Autumn at the Cottage Collection by Ginger’s Doll Cottage.

This lovely early Barbie began as a well-loved vintage doll and has been carefully restored while preserving as much of her original character as possible. Her dark brunette coloring is especially striking against the warm, muted tones of her autumn themed ensemble.

Her restoration included donor-hair bangs added to replace missing original hair, a replacement neck knob, and select paint touch-ups to refresh her features while retaining the unmistakable look of an early ponytail Barbie. For her Autumn at the Cottage debut, she wears a custom-made dress patterned after the vintage Barbie fashion “Garden Party.” The dress features a warm botanical print in shades of burgundy, gold, olive and soft rose, paired with an ivory lace built in petticoat, and a burgundy satin belt finished with a jeweled buckle.

Her look is completed with a coordinating head band style hat, pearl necklace and bracelet, pearl earrings, white gloves, ivory clutch made from vintage vinyl salvaged from a vintage Barbie case, and brown Japan open-toe heels.

She has been styled to evoke an elegant autumn afternoon at the cottage, somewhere between a garden luncheon and a very fashionable walk through fallen leaves. 🍁 And as always she has my signature rose on her outfit.
