Reception Line in Blush — Vintage First Issue Blonde Bubblecut Barbie

An afternoon reception calls for satin, pearls, and a little vintage glamour. This vintage first issue blonde Bubblecut Barbie wears my handmade interpretation of Reception Line, reimagined in soft blush and ivory.

Her ensemble pairs a fitted blush satin bodice with a delicate embroidered floral skirt made with a vintage lace Barbie petticoat. An ivory belt with a pearl-trimmed buckle defines the waist, while a coordinating blush hat, white gloves, pearl jewelry, and pink heels complete the look.

The fashion is my own interpretation of the vintage design, created for Ginger’s Doll Cottage, rather than an original Mattel outfit.

This is a vintage doll with known flaws:

• A tiny neck split at the back has been repaired. The repair is discreet and difficult to notice unless you are specifically looking for it.
• She has two pinholes in her chest.

She is being described as a blonde Bubblecut, rather than identified as a White Ginger as I don’t believe she is a white Ginger but I may be mistaken. Please review the photographs carefully when considering her condition; she is not being offered as a mint or flawless example.
