As twilight settles over the cottage and the first lanterns begin to glow, she steps onto the terrace dressed for an unforgettable autumn evening.

Enchanted Evening at the Cottage features a genuine vintage #3 Ponytail Barbie, beautifully restored and dressed in a one-of-a-kind Ginger’s Doll Cottage interpretation of the iconic Enchanted Evening fashion. (See last picture for before and after)

Her sweeping gown is handmade from deep wine-burgundy satin, gathered gracefully at the hip and finished with a soft ivory rose. An elegant ivory faux-fur stole and long opera gloves complete her dramatic evening ensemble.

Her jewelry was created by hand using luminous Japanese glass pearls and includes a triple-strand necklace, coordinating drop earrings, and a delicate bracelet. The earrings are made from 24k gold over stainless steel, so they will NOT tarnish or turn the dolls ears green.

The rich burgundy satin, winter-white fur, and glowing pearls are especially striking against her unusually pale, porcelain-like complexion.

She has been professionally cleaned, restored, and carefully styled for display.

Vintage Condition & Restoration:

This is an approximately 65-year-old vintage doll and is not in mint or completely original condition. Most of her original bangs were missing and have been carefully rerooted using authentic vintage donor hair to blend with her remaining original hair. Her hair is also lighter than most blonde ponytails, this is the reason for the slightly two tone look, as there is not any vintage hair that was an exact match to the unusual shade of blonde. Her neck knob has also been replaced to restore the connection between her head and body.

She has a small dark dot on her face that appears to be permanent ink. Extensive treatment did not remove it, and it has been left visible rather than concealed. She may also show minor age-related marks and variations consistent with a genuine vintage doll. Nude front-and-back photographs are included so her condition can be reviewed clearly and transparently.

Her exceptionally pale coloring is even from head to toe and gives her a distinctive, almost porcelain appearance.

Enchanted Evening at the Cottage is a one-of-a-kind restored vintage creation from Ginger’s Doll Cottage and part of the Autumn at the Cottage Collection. Once sold, she will not be recreated exactly.
